Diamond Origami Fold Card

Today I tried the Diamond Origami Fold Card featured recently as a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers website (there is a mistake in the directions but the correct measurements are given down in the comment section).  I wasn't 100% in love with the fold but since I'm looking for some new ideas, I tried it.  I used an old Stampin' Up set called You Are My Sunshine because I thought the images would fit nicely in the spaces I had to work with.  The little girl and the sun in this set make me happy and the sentiment is really nice, too!   The fold is very simple to do.  I used Peerless Watercolors as a coloring medium this time. I'm really happy with how the card turned out so now this is my new favorite fold!  I'm fickle...I know it...but I can't help myself!  I love anything and everything to do with stamping!

I'm putting lots of pictures for this one so you can see all of the views.  Here is the front...

And a close up of the little square on the front.  Isn't the sun's face adorable?

Here is what you see when you open the top flap and the right side...

Now for the inside!  Ta-Daaa!!

Here's a close up of the inside, when the card is all the way open it is long so I couldn't get too close on the full picture.

There it it.  Thanks for visiting!

  1. So pretty, Janet - great choice of colours. I, too, love everything to do with stamping. Terrible isn't it? But it could be MUCH worse!

  2. Thanks Cath, you are so kind and positive. Thanks for all of the comments. You are right about it being terrible, but it's terrible in a good way! I can't think of any better addiction to have!!

I was the happy recipient of this card which Janet was kind enough to send all the way to South Carolina while I am nursing my mother, and keeping my Dad glued together. I'm so lucky to have the best friend ever!! Now you just have to teach me the fold in person when I return. Love you girl!
