Birdie Treat Boxes

I made these little treat boxes for a retreat I went to at MFT during the summer.  When I heard that a lot of the participants bring treats for the group, I was intimidated but felt that I had to come up with something.  Since everyone loves chocolate and kisses, I made a little flip box that would hold those.  I used MFT Paper Packs called Dots & Stripes Sorbet and Dots & Stripes Fresh.  It took a while to get the size just right, but I thought they were pretty cute when they were finished and everyone seemed to like them.

I used the MFT Tag Builder Blueprints 5 to make the tag on the front of the flip box.  I have all of the tag builder blueprints, except for the newest one (and I'll be getting that one soon!) They are so versatile!  It was fun building the little scene in the top window and making a little shaker window at the bottom!

I watercolored the little birds from the I'm Tweet on You set from MFT because I wanted the boxes bright and colorful.  They are whimsical enough that you can go crazy with color combinations. Every combination I tried looked adorable.  Coloring the birds was my favorite part of making these!

The greeting in the bottom window was from an MFT set called So Much Love.  This set works well with all of the tag builder blueprints!  Here is a pic of what the box looks like open.

Here they are all finished except for the bows!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
