It was tricky to take a photo that showed the 3-D effect. I hope you can see it in this one!
I wanted the cocoa cup to be popped out so I stamped his hands, cut them out and then glued them on with a piece of foam tape behind the cup so it could be rounded.
Here's a close up...

What an wonderfully effective card! Love the polar bear with his mug of cocoa, layering his hand and mug really works brilliantly. The paint spots of snow look great, how did you get them perfectly round? It's a brilliant card design Janet. Belated Happy Christmas and have a wonderful New Year! Debra x
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, Happy New Year!! Thanks for your sweet comments. I made the spots using acrylic paint. I used to be a Tole painter and I learned them there...they are called Tutti Dots! You dip the handle of a paint brush into a puddle of paint and then tap it onto your surface. You get round little dots every time!
ReplyDeleteWow such a gorgeous card, that polar bear wasn't on my list but he is now. Love the paper pieced look and so effective on him. The cup makes the whole look pop and is something I might try. It was lovely to meet you today, I hope we can meet again. Hugs, Amanda x
