You're going to think I'm obsessing about MFT's Sweet Innocence girls and you might be right! I have another one to show you today! I watched the tutorial for the Herringbone technique on Splitcoaststampers and wanted to try it. The technique is easy, relaxing, fun and a great way to use up all those decorative paper scraps that you've been holding onto! I made herringbone backgrounds all afternoon and I still wanted to make more! One of the best parts is that they all come out different and really pretty. The last one I made was an experiment. I had an odd mix of colored strips left that didn't necessarily go together but I did the herringbone thing with wild abandon and it still came out great! I expected to throw that one in the trash, but nope...I'm definitely using it.

MFT Lemonade Valentine
Another one of those My Favorite Things little girls! Who didn't have a lemonade stand when they were little. Remember how long you would sit at your booth hoping for customers? I decided to draw some hearts in the pitcher and glass to make this into a Valentine! I also wanted a 3-D effect so I stamped the image a 2nd time and cut out the table top, pitcher, glasses and the girls arms and popped them up with foam tape. It looks pretty cool! The sentiment inside says, "You make life sweet!" I used another My Favorite Things set called Meet me at the Cafe to make the awning. Don't they look like they were made to go together? TFL!
MFT Pop up card
I love the Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things. They are fun and the little girls depict so many happy things from my childhood that they make me feel good! When I got this stamp I knew I had to make a pop up card. This is what I came up with...
