Gift Card holder

Here's another gift card holder I made this year.  I used it for cards from a local coffee shop.  I used acetate embossed with a swirly pattern for the inside, card holder part...pretty cute!

Gift Card Holders for Christmas

I made some changes to my original Christmas stocking gift card holder because the recipient of the original thought it was a Christmas ornament and hung it on the tree!  It would have been a shame if she never found the gift card inside.  I added a "Pull Here" tab and a ribbon to dress it up and I like the results.  I switched out the little ornament to favorites of the two little guys I gave these to.

The snowflake die I used is from The Cat's Pajamas!  It's Snowflake Cutups (Die 010)

Hero Arts Tutorial

Uh oh...I'm in trouble.  I found this tutorial and LOVED it!!  Problem is to reproduce it, I'm going to need a  Silhouette machine and I don't have room for anymore machines!  I have to admit, this is amazing.  The video includes a very good lesson on how to blend with Copics, too.  Enjoy!!!

Gift Card Holders for Christmas

I'm beginning to really love gift card holders.  There are so many things you can make that can incorporate a gift card.  I was at a local craft fair with a friend and we saw some adorable little stocking gift card holders in school colors that she loved.  It was disappointing that the colors she needed weren't among those for sale so I decided to see what I could come up with.  I started searching on line and found an adorable idea on Kelly Acheson's blog.  It inspired me and this is what I came up with.

Money Holder

Having older sons makes it really difficult at birthdays and holidays.  Giving them a check is so boring.  This year we gave our youngest money towards a new phone he's been wanting.  I'm really happy with the money holder I came up with.  I think it will make him laugh!  I used 5 pieces of chipboard cut to the shape of the image I found on the internet and I put a piece of clear laminating film on top to make it look more real.

I'm Back!

It's been a long couple of months.  My brother was in a horrible motorcycle accident in May and there was much to do...most important of which was praying constantly.  With the Grace of God, the knowledge, skill and compassion of his doctors and nurses, love of family and fiancee and willingness on his part to do the very difficult work of rehab ...he is doing amazingly well.  Finally my creative spirit is back and I've started stamping again!!  I was worried for a while there...I had nothing!

Chunky Alphabet

Here are the last group of pages that I made for the Chunky Alphabet swap.  I really liked the t page and the way the acetate floated above the bottom layer leaving a shadow of the clock parts.  I you have any questions about the stamps I used, I've listed them in my Splitcoaststampers gallery.  I can't believe it's already time to make my next 3 pages so I can get them in the mail on time.  Where did the month go?

Be Girly

My goodness, I've been busy stamping a lot this month and it's been fun!  The images for this card were made with Amuse birthday cake and margarita stamps and one dress from the Dress Border stamp from Impression Obsession!  The words are computer generated.  Thanks for looking...hope you are having a good day!

Stampin Up Polar Bears

Decided to make up some sympathy cards because I was all out and I found a card made by Frou Frou on Splitcoaststampers that inspired me!!   Here is what I ended up with.

Sliding Pop-up Card

I made this card for Valentines this year using the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  The written directions were a bit confusing but the video made it all clear!!  I had a few cards left over so I saved them without a message to send when someone needs a little love!  I used acetate strips to make the 3 hearts float over the frog.  They bounce around whenever the card is moved or a breeze goes by...so cute!  I'm thinking of messages like, "Froggie kisses and birthday wishes" or "Love makes everything better...Get well soon!" or even "Heard you needed some cheering up, so I'm sending some love your way...SMOOCH!!"  I like using message stamps but when I can't find just the right one, I print something out on my computer and stick it on!
