Bridal Shower Stamping Bella Card

Stamping Bella makes the girliest girl stamps ever.  I just love them so when it came time to make a shower card for my future daughter-in-law, Cathy, I had to use one for her card.  I used the Brigitte the Bride stamp from Stamping Bella.

Isn't she darling?  This card was a lot of fun to make.  I loved adding the embellishments and the bling!  Here's an angled view so you can see the sparkle better.

Here's a closer view.  I used Art Institute Sea Shell glitter over the top and bottom of her dress.  It's the most transparent clear glitter that I've found and the Copic coloring showed through just as I'd hoped it would!

I enjoyed making this card so much that I made another one in pink.  

I tried something new for adding color to the background.  Instead of using Copics, I used the Ultramarine Blue Tint Pan Pastel and a Sofft Tool knife.  I loaded up the knife, positioned it on the edge of the bride and pulled away.  It looks very much like a Copic shadow background but was so much easier to do!! 

Flower Soft really dressed up the bouquet...so pretty!  My friends convinced me to use it and I'm glad that they did.  I used pink and silver Flower Soft here.

Loads of Fun

Today's post is a side step card that I made a while ago.  I used a stamp set called Loads of Fun from There She Goes.  Unfortunately this stamp set is no longer available because this company went out of business.    I'm really sad about that, I really liked their stamps a lot.  Here is the front of the card...

And here is the back.  I used my computer to make the message.

Vellum Hearts

I haven't used my heat gun and embossing powder in ages, so it was really fun to get them out and play today!  I stamped onto vellum and then colored the back side with Tombo markers.  The white lines weren't crisp enough when I put the vellum over blue paper so I cut  some plain white hearts to glue under the images and got the effect I was looking for!

Snowflake Easel Card

Another easel card, this time with a wintery theme!  Whoever thought this fold up is a genius! The 3-D look is so much fun and there are so many stamps and dies that can be used.  They are my new favorite (I know, I'm fickle...everything is my favorite!).  Here is one that I used for Christmas cards this year!  The snowflake is a die from The Cat's Pajamas.  You can see it here.  I cut 4 of them out of typing paper, folded them in half and glued them together.  Then I added a string using fishing line and a crimp bead.  It's very easy because the snowflake is symmetrical and lines up perfectly when you glue it together.

My card needed a little sparkle so I made an embellishment using white and blue card stock, vellum and Stampin' Up glitter paper punched out using a bunch of different punches.  Here's a close-up.  

It's such a busy time of year and I was in such a hurry to get my cards out that I cleaned up without writing down any of the supplies I used.  I remember that I used a My Favorite Things clear stamp to do the dotted background, the Cat's Pajamas snowflake and a Spellbinder Labels die to make the easel cut out.  If you need specifics on the punches I used or have any other questions, please contact me.
