Lili of the Valley Little Nurse

I don't know what is going on lately, but it seems like I've been needing a lot of Get Well cards.  I purchased this Little Nurse stamp a while ago and hadn't used it yet but I thought it would be perfect to cheer someone up!

Memory Box Vintage Bicycle

I love Julie Ebersole, her creative spirit, simple style and giggle make me happy!  This week her "Hello, Monday" video inspired me to make this card.  Like Julie, it never dawned on me to cut my dies out of white paper and then color them...what a brilliant idea!  So much better than cutting the die out of lots of colors and gluing it back together!  I like the Vintage Bicycle in black, but the color adds a whole new look to this die..LOVE IT!!  As soon as I finished watching the video, it was a mad dash to gather supplies and try this out.  The other brilliant thing that I cased from Julie was to use washi tape for the ground!!  Fast, easy and really pretty.  She is so smart :)

By The Tide - Triple Time Stamping

This was a really fun card to make!  I wanted some color for the background so I started off by using Ranger Distress Inks and sponges to build up color.   I splashed on a little water to give it a spotted underwater look.  When the water dried, it looked pretty cool.  Then I stamped the plant with more Distress Inks and the fish with black.  I didn't like how the fish kind of blended into the background, so I used Stamping Up markers and a paint brush to add a little more color.  I liked that, too!  Some YoYo Yellow made the fish eyes come alive! Memory Box Vintage Bicycle Die

What a lovely day I had today!  My friend, Judy invited me to go to Violette's in Lakeland, FL to attend their monthly Stamp Club event with her!! It was great to see Diana and Linda and they had two great cards for us to do using the Memory Box Vintage Bicycle Die!  Aren't they adorable?  It was a no brainer...I had to add the bicycle die and the little birds die to my collection!  I found lots of other things, too.  If you are ever in Lakeland, you need to make a stop at Violette's.  You'll be glad you did!  

By the Tide - Tamp-a-Tile Technique

Here's another Tamp-a-Tile technique card.  For this one I wanted it to have a more collage feel so I used the Stampin' Up By the Tide set that is in the spring 2013 mini catalog.  It's a gorgeous set.  I HAD to have it because I NEEDED the feathery underwater plant!!  I realized that I didn't give any directions on how to do this technique in my post yesterday.  All you do is mask off the 4 corners with post-its and stamp the middle.  Then reverse the post-its to cover the center and stamp the corners.  Then do the same process again and apply ink with a sponge or a stipple brush to add color where you want!  Beware, it's really fun.  You will want to make more than one!

My Favorite Things - Tamp-A-Tile Technique

Hi, 

I made this card for the monthly technique challenge on KCUK that required us to use the Tamp-A-Tile technique.  It is a very fun and simple technique that gives a great result!  Most people I've shown this card to think that I used decorative paper on the corners but it's only 1 piece of white card stock!  The only thing added was the sentiment and the little goldfish!

Stamps:  My Favorite Things - Goldfish Girl, Rosie's Roadshow - Goldie, Hero Arts Circle stamps, the tiny green fish are from an old Stampin' Up set.  I think I got it in the 90's
